How Many Syllables TASK CARDS

Are you teaching syllables? These colourful phonics task cards can be used to consolidate an understanding of syllables, by getting students to physically manipulate objects in order to identify the number of syllables.

Some ideas for using these task cards:

• Use duplo or lego to count out the number of syllables and then connect together- great for demonstrating the way that syllables connect to form an entire word
• Use double-sided counters to count out the number of syllables. Then get students to turn over each counter as they say each syllable.

150 task cards are included for words with 1, 2, 3 and 4 syllable words.

A word list for all 4 sets of words is also included.
