This comprehensive high frequency words and sentence building activity will help to build 'sight word', sentence and vocabulary knowledge.
It is extremely versatile and can be used in lots of different ways- literacy rotations, sentence writing activity or writing station, or whole class lessons on high frequency words, sentences or adjectives.
This resource is designed to be used only after students have already been explicitly taught the high-frequency words (sight words), and the ‘heart’ or tricky part of the word. These activities will then provide students with repeated exposure to the word, so that they can commit those words to memory.
HOW TO USE:
Print the word, punctuation and picture cards on thick card. Students put the sentences back together, adding a picture card and punctuation to complete the sentence. There is a star above the first word to assist students in finding the start of the sentence.
Students may also like to build additional sentences of their own using the high-frequency words and picture cards.
225 image cards are included, divided into different categories/levels.
Additional levels/options:
Over 60 sentences are included!
