CVCC CCVC WORDS NO PREP PHONICS GAME - CONNECT 4

These no prep phonics game boards are a great kindergarten phonics game. Students will consolidate early letter sound knowledge and phonics skills as they decode CVCC and CCVC words. 

How to play:

Students take it in turns to read one of the decodable words on the gameboard, and cover with a counter. The first student to get four words in a row is the winner.

This resource includes:

• 10 x CVCC CCVC games sorted by short vowel sound (e.g. short vowel a CVCC CCVC words, short vowel e CVCC CCVC words)
• 5 x mixed CVCC CCVC word games
• Black and white options are also included - print on coloured card for a pop of colour, or use as a consolidation worksheet activity. 

Extension ideas:

• Think of a word that rhymes
• Write the word on your mini whiteboard and/or put it in a sentence
