Students are given the grapheme in the middle of the hexagon, and must write all the matching words on their whiteboards. As an extension, see if they can think of additional words which use that spelling pattern. Hexagons are included for 3-sound words (e.g. bell, fill, sell) and 4 and 4 sound words (e.g. quilt, fling, pluck).
