Get students up and moving as they search the room to identify sentence types in this Write the Room activity. Sentence cards are placed around the classroom for students to find. Once they locate each card, they identify whether it is declarative, imperative, exclamatory, or interrogative, then write the sentence type onto their recording template. Answer cards are included for each set and can also be placed around the room as scaffolding cards for students who need extra support.
