Are you teaching students how to map heart words or high-frequency words with irregular or tricky spellings? These templates can be used with any high-frequency word list to orthographically map tricky words.
Each template includes:
- Say the word
- Tap the word (words of up to 6 sounds)
- Map the word (write each of the sounds)
- Write the word 3 times and highlight or heart the tricky spelling
- Put the word into a sentence (use in context)
