Looking for a low-prep game to give students repeated practice using subordinating conjunctions in complex sentences? Players place a counter on a circle, then use that subordinating conjunction to construct a complex sentence. The first player to connect four counters in a row wins.
This resource includes two versions — one for each teaching sequence — so you can use whichever set of conjunctions your students are currently working with, or both across a unit.
What's included:
Version 1: I SAW A WABUB:
6 different game boards, each with a unique arrangement of subordinating conjunctions (if, since, as, when, although, while, after, before, until, because) — available in colour and black & white

Version 2: A WHITE BUS
6 different game boards, each with a unique arrangement of subordinating conjunctions (although, however, as, after, if, where, when, while, how, even if, even though, unless, since, though, wherever, whenever, in case, because, until) — available in colour and black & white
