Players pick a simple sentence card, spin the spinner to reveal a clause challenge — time, place, reason, contrast, condition or purpose — then rewrite the sentence as a complex sentence matching that challenge. A helpful hints card listing clause types and suggested conjunctions is included for reference. Read the sentence aloud; if the group agrees it includes a main clause and a dependent clause, keep the card. The player with the most cards wins.
