Get students practising subordinating conjunctions with this board game. Players roll the die, move their counter, then pick a sentence card and complete it by adding a subordinating conjunction — turning a partial sentence like "__ the moon rose, the sky turned darker." into a complete complex sentence. Some cards prompt players to move forward or back a space, keeping the game moving.
The recording template lets students write their completed sentence and underline the subordinating conjunction. This resource includes two versions — one for each teaching sequence — so you can use whichever set of conjunctions your students are currently working with, or both across a unit.
