Are you looking for a spinner and dice activity to give students repeated, hands-on practice connecting fractions to their decimal equivalents on a number line?
Students spin to get the denominator (4, 5, or 10) and roll a die to get the numerator — rerolling if the numerator is equal to or greater than the denominator. They shade the matching fraction strip, use a ruler to plot the fraction on the number line, and write the decimal equivalent. The activity generates a different fraction each round and can be used repeatedly across sessions.
What's included:
Spin & Roll activity mat with built-in spinner (denominators 4, 5, 10), - available in 6 colour versions and a black & white version
Recording sheet
