These Spin It Spell It mats can be used in a variety of ways to target different skills:
Level 1: Phonemic Awareness
Students spin the word and then map the sounds below, using counters or other manipulatives.
Level 2: Map/spell the word
Students spin the word and then build it with alphabet manipulatives or write it.
35 mats are included:
- 17 mats sorted by short vowel sound (e.g. short a CVC words, short o CVC words)
- 18 mats with mixed CVC words (all short vowel sounds)
