These game cards allow students to focus on a short vowel sound and decode CVC (Consonant, Vowel, Consonant) words with that sound. CVC words allow students to blend single sounds and build their phonological awareness, recognising an initial, middle and end sound.
This is a fun game that can be played independently or in pairs during literacy group activities. There are 3 cards per vowel sound- a picture decodable card, a matching word card and another word card.
There is also a blank card where students can create their own words or you can customise to suit various learning intentions or student ability.
These cards print out A4 in size.
