  • Create different graphical representations of data using software where appropriate; compare the different representations, identify and describe common and distinctive features in response to questions (AC9M2ST02)

NSW Curriculum (DATA B):

  • Outcomes:

    • Reasons about representations of data to describe and interpret the results. (MA1-DATA-02)

  • Content: 

    • Create displays of data and interpret them

      • Organise collected data into lists and tables to display information

      • Represent data in a picture graph using a baseline, equal spacing and same-sized symbols

      • Give reasons why some representations of data are misleading

      • Interpret information present in tables and picture graphs

      • Record answers to questions using the information in tables and picture graphs
