Students tell and write recounts in the early years through oral presentations and early writing activities.
These posters outline the elements to include in a recount- who, when, where, what, why and how. This allows students to include all relevant information when telling or writing a recount.
The Writing mat can be used as a prompt for independent writing activities and displays some ideas for each element. It also reinforces writing in first person, past tense and gives some time connective examples.
These posters and writing mat print out A4 in size.
