Reciprocal reading is a peer activity where students are encouraged to think about their thought process during reading. In a group, students take on various roles and practice the reading strategies of predicting, questioning, summarising and clarifying. There is a leader who monitors the group discussions and can allocate the roles to other students.
These cards explain what each role entails and can be used as a direct reference as students participate in their group's reading.
