Get students up and moving as they identify the correct relative pronoun to introduce an adjectival clause in this Read the Room activity.
Six pages of connector word tabs (who, whose, which, that, when, where) are placed around the classroom. Students walk the room, find the correct word for each sentence, tear off a tab, glue it onto their recording sheet, and underline the adjectival clause. Word tabs are included for up to 27 students — print a second set for larger classes.
Three sets are included so the activity can be repeated across multiple sessions without students working from memory.
What's included:
3 Search the Room sets, each with 6 sentences requiring a relative pronoun (who, whose, which, that, when, where)
Answer cards for each set
6 pages of tear-off word tabs (whose, who, that, which, when, where) — enough for up to 27 students per set
