Get students up and moving as they identify verb tenses in this dice-rolling four in a row game.
Players roll two dice to find the corresponding verb on the board, then identify whether it is past, present, or future tense. A correct answer earns a counter on that square — the first player to get four in a row wins. Two sets are included to extend the challenge: Set 1 uses simple tense verbs and Set 2 uses elaborated tense verbs.
What's included:
4 game boards per set (8 boards total), each with different verbs — Set 1 covers simple tense (e.g. walked, rides) and Set 2 covers elaborated tense (e.g. has written, is painting)
Black and white version of all boards
Recording sheet for students to write the verb and identify its tense
