National Sorry Day is on 26th May each year and is a time to reflect on and acknowledge the mistreatment of Indigenous people who were forcibly removed from their homes.
This small activity pack allows students to understand why we remember the 'stolen generation' and think about why we are 'sorry'.
The purple native Australian Hibiscus flower is a symbol that represents this day and is used in the arm ban template that students can cut out, write on and wear during reconciliation week.
A colouring sheet features these flowers also, with the word 'sorry' and the research card is a prompt for students to find the meaning of National Sorry Day and reflect on this.
