Differentiated Mathematics Activities
Multiplication - solve word problems and draw matching arrays using Nonno's tomato and plum trees, across differentiated levels
Nonno's day: time - draw or write the time to match each part of Nonno's day, covering o'clock, half hour and quarter hour, across differentiated levels
Measuring tomato vines - use tomatoes as an informal measuring tool to measure vine lengths, with an alternative ribbon measuring task
Data: favourite vegetables - survey classmates on their favourite vegetable, then tally and graph the results
Area of Nonno's vegetable garden - draw garden beds to match given areas, or calculate the area of drawn garden beds, across differentiated levels
Design Activities
Design a wind chime - design a wind chime, choosing materials and how the pieces will hang
Design a garden pot - design a decorated pot for a favourite plant, herb or vegetable
Family heirloom box - design a special box to hold something precious, with fold-out templates
