This resource is inside The Hive, along with thousands more, plus powerful digital tools and time-saving systems.

Are you looking for a hands-on partner activity to help students practise estimating and measuring distance in centimetres?

Students estimate how far they can jump, then measure their actual jump distance with a ruler and record the result. Working in pairs, they compare their jumps and answer questions about their results.

Includes 2 recording sheets - each partner estimates and measures a jump; reflection questions ask who jumped furthest, the difference between jumps, and whose estimate was closest.
