Students measure the capacity of four different containers using two informal tools such as a spoon and a cup. They then compare which containers held the most and least, and calculate how much more one holds than another. A hands-on way to explore capacity comparisons while practising consistent informal measurement.

Two template options are provided: one with spoons and cups as the informal measurement units, and one open-ended version where students can choose their own tools. This gives flexibility to adapt for student needs or to extend the task for deeper reasoning.
