These Elkonin boxes make early reading and spelling fun! Based around the long A phoneme and graphemes, these cards help build phonological awareness skills by segmenting the words into individual sounds or phonemes.
The Elkonin boxes are designed around the 8 different graphemes that represent the long 'a' sound in a word. Included are 68 long 'a' sight word cards to be used in conjunction with the boxes.
Students can make words using whiteboard markers or hands-on manipulation with alphabetic letters.
