These cutting practice printables activities can be used to develop fine motor skills in the first year of school.

Ideas for use:
  • Provide students with a capital letter template to match the first letter of their name. They can cut it out and decorate it. Optional extra- glue on coloured card to create a class display. 
  • Provide students with a number template - it could be their age or their favourite number 1-9. They can cut it out and decorate it. Optional extra- glue on coloured card to create a class display. 
  • Provide students with the lowercase letters a-z (2 pages) or numbers 1-9 (1 page). Students cut out and decorate the letters/numbers. Optional extra- glue the letters or numbers in order.
