This is a differentiated Kindergarten math game which targets early number and addition skills. Students will love playing this game in math rotations, number centers or other number lessons. The differentiated nature allows you to target the many skills within your classroom, making this game perfect for a variety of grades- Kindergarten, Grade 1 or Grade 2.
It is no-prep - all you need to play is counters and dice!
HOW TO PLAY:
Students each place 5 coloured dice on the board- 4 coloured boards are included for each of the six levels. The first student to clear the board is the winner. Below are some of the ways that students might clear the board:
LEVEL ONE: Numeral ID to 6- roll a six sided dice and say the number. If you have a counter on that number, you can take it off.
LEVEL TWO: Numeral ID to 10- roll a ten sided dice and say the number. If you have a counter on that number, you can take it off.
LEVEL THREE: Addition to 12- roll two x 6 sided dice and add together. This can be levelled- students could count the dots, or cover one dice (visualise) and add the second dice.
LEVEL FOUR: Addition to 18- roll 3 x 6 sided dice and add together.
LEVEL FIVE: Addition to 20- roll 2 x 10 sided dice and add together.
LEVEL SIX: Double facts to 24 - roll 1 x 12 sided dice and double the number.
