Are you teaching students about length? This interactive cut & paste length activity is a great way to teach students about the concept of halfway.

Students follow along with the teacher’s verbal instructions to place several items along the length of the road. When they have finished, they listen once more and glue each item in the correct place.

SCRIPT:
Sally walked along her street to school. She left her house at the beginning of the street. When she was less than half way, she picked some flowers for her teacher. At about half way, she stopped a tree to have a rest. When she was more than half way, she saw her friend Sam walking his dog. They walked together until they got to the end of the street where they arrived at school just in time for the bell.
