Students will love playing this probability game!
How to play:
Designate 4 corners of the classroom to represent each of the four suits: hearts, diamonds, spades and clubs.
Students must pick a corner of the classroom.
Each slide is formatted so that each click will make one card disappear. Any students who are standing in that corner will need to sit down. Remaining students can choose a new corner to stand in.
As the game goes on, some suits will become more/less likely.
Continue playing until only one student is left in play.
Stop at intervals of the game and ask students to explain why they chose a particular corner, and predict which symbol is more or less likely to be called out. Discuss why the game becomes easier towards the end.
