Australian Curriculum:
Partition, rearrange, regroup and rename two- and three-digit numbers using standard and non-standard groupings; recognise the role of a zero digit in place value rotation (AC9M2N02)
Add and subtract one- and two-digit numbers, representing problems using number sentences, and solve using part-part-whole reasoning and a variety of calculation strategies (AC9M2N04)
NSW Curriculum (COMBINING & SEPARATING QUANTITIES B):
Outcomes:
uses number bonds and the relationship between addition and subtraction to solve problems involving partitioning (MA1-CSQ-01)
Content:
Form multiples of ten when adding and subtracting two-digit numbers:
Add two-digit numbers by building to multiples of ten
Add and subtract from a two-digit number and record on an empty number line
Use an inverse strategy to turn a subtraction into an addition
