Are you looking for low-prep CVC word games for your Kindergarten phonics lessons? These swat the fly CVC word mats are an engaging activity which can be used to develop early phonics skills such as blending and segmenting of CVC words.
Students will love swatting the flies as they read the CVC words. These mats can be used in a variety of ways:
- Students swat the words as they read them
- Use the matching fly word cards – place in a pile and students take it in turns to pick up a card. If they have the matching word on their mat, they can swat that fly or cover it with a counter.
