Develop understanding of fractions as equal parts by exploring thirds through hands-on measurement. Students roll a clay bar to a length that is a multiple of 3, divide it into three equal parts, and measure each section to find 1/3, 2/3 and 3/3. This activity supports conceptual understanding of fractions as lengths and equal shares.

What’s included:

  • 6 coloured playdough fraction mats for finding thirds

  • Black & White version also included
