This resource is inside The Hive, along with thousands more, plus powerful digital tools and time-saving systems.

Are you looking for an expanding noun groups game that keeps students engaged while they practise building noun groups using numbers, adjectives, prepositional phrases and combinations? Players roll two dice to find a noun on the game board, expand it into a noun group, and place a counter if successful. First to get four in a row wins!

Two sets are included. Set 1 leaves the expansion method open - students choose how to expand each noun. Set 2 has the expansion type labelled on each noun, so students know whether to use a prepositional phrase, adjective, number or combination. Both sets include black and white versions and a recording template.

What's included:

  • Set 1: 6 game boards with nouns only (any expansion method)

  • Set 2: 6 game boards with nouns and expansion type labelled

  • Black and white versions of both sets

  • Recording template for both sets
