Students estimate how many informal units (e.g. scoops or cups) it will take to fill a container, then test their prediction by measuring and recording the actual result. They repeat the task using a second tool and compare outcomes. This encourages critical thinking about accuracy, efficiency and the properties of different measuring tools.
A simpler version of the template is also included, with less text and clearer structure for younger or developing learners.
