Practise deciding whether two expressions are equal or not with this equal or not card sort. Students shuffle the expression cards and take turns picking one to compare with the previous card, deciding whether they're equal or not and recording each comparison as a number sentence using = or ≠. The whole deck can also be sorted to pair the equivalent expressions as a class or individually.
