Are you teaching the long vowel sounds? Build Kindergarten and Grade One phonics knowledge with this DIGITAL PHONICS ACTIVITY - Roll a Silly Sentence with decodable words. Students will create decodable silly sentences with long vowel words.
This resource includes 15 different slides (each comes in 3 different designs/formats) that will help to consolidate early phonics skills through the use of decodable phrases and simple high-frequency words.
HOW TO USE:
Click the dice video to ‘roll the dice’, and each time record the corresponding phrase or word from that column. You could either record the sentence on the teacher’s whiteboard, or students could record on their own mini whiteboards. They will end up creating a silly decodable sentence e.g. A foaming ghost rode a goat under a rainbow.
WHAT'S INCLUDED:
2 designs are included, with and without shaded columns to help scaffold students. Now also includes slides without the interactive dice- these can be loaded into Google Slides for use in conjunction with an online dice via a website, or with a physical dice.
There are 15 different slides included with words containing the following long vowel sounds
long vowel a words
long vowel e words
long vowel i words
