Determining access to resource...
Build Kindergarten and Grade One phonics knowledge with this DIGITAL PHONICS ACTIVITY - Roll a Silly Sentence with decodable words. Students will create decodable silly sentences with consonant digraph words.

This resource includes 10 different slides (each comes in 3 different designs/formats) that will help to consolidate early phonics skills through the use of decodable phrases and simple high-frequency words.

HOW TO USE:
Click the dice video to ‘roll the dice’, and each time record the corresponding phrase or word from that column. You could either record the sentence on the teacher’s whiteboard, or students could record on their own mini whiteboards. They will end up creating a silly decodable sentence e.g. A hissing sloth whisks the mash with ten ducks.

WHAT'S INCLUDED:
2 designs are included, with and without shaded columns to help scaffold students. Now also includes slides without the interactive dice- these can be loaded into Google Slides for use in conjunction with an online dice via a website, or with a physical dice.

There are 10 different slides included so with words containing the following digraphs:

SET A:
  • ch words
  • th words
  • sh words
  • wh words
SET B:
  • ll words
  • ss words
  • zz words
  • ff words
  • ck words
SET C:
  • ng words
  • qu words
  • words with x (not a digraph but included here because of its complexity)
SET D is a mix of all of the above common consonant digraphs.
