How to play:
Students take it in turns to read one of the decodable words on the gameboard, and cover with a counter. The first student to get four words in a row is the winner.
This resource includes:
- 10 x CVCC CCVC games sorted by short vowel sound (e.g. short vowel a CVCC CCVC words, short vowel e CVCC CCVC words)
- 5 x mixed CVCC CCVC word games
- Black and white options are also included - print on coloured card for a pop of colour, or use as a consolidation worksheet activity.
- Think of a word that rhymes
- Write the word on your mini whiteboard and/or put it in a sentence
