This low-prep CVCC CCVC and CCVCC words Kindergarten phonics game can be used in a variety of ways to consolidate early phonics skills of blending, segmenting and decoding CVCC CCVC and CCVCC words.
Students take it in turns to pick up a butterfly card. If they can read the decodable word, they can place the butterfly in their net. Add whisper phones for an extra bit of fun + engagement! Students could also write the decodable words on their mini-whiteboards.
