Cover and Compare Area with Informal Units - Area Activity

Students choose an informal unit like counters, playing cards or dice to measure and compare the surface area of 3–5 rectangles. They record how many units were needed and note any leftovers, then reflect on which shapes had the greatest and smallest area.
