Players roll the die, move their counter, then pick a sentence card and improve it by adding a coordinating conjunction — joining two simple sentences like "The path was steep. I walked slowly." into "The path was steep so I walked slowly." Some cards prompt players to move forward or back a space, keeping the game moving.
