Students sort cut-and-paste images onto sorting mats using a range of capacity-focused criteria. Builds vocabulary and encourages discussion around internal volume, containers and everyday materials.
Sort the images four different ways:
Holds a little / Holds a lot
Holds less than a cup / Holds more than a cup
Can stack / Can’t stack
Good for water / Not good for water
