Capacity Activity - Create your own measuring tool

Students choose an informal measuring tool (like a cup or scoop) and use it to fill a larger container with water or sand. After each pour, they add a horizontal line to track the level reached. Once finished, they tip out the contents and test whether the markings were consistent and helpful. A great way to explore what makes a good measuring tool and why accuracy matters.
