Looking for a straightforward worksheet activity to practise constructing adjectival clauses at the sentence level? These printables have students combine two simple sentences into one by adding an adjectival clause starting with a relative pronoun (who, which, that) — for example, "We walked along a path. The path led to a waterfall." becomes "We walked along a path that led to a waterfall."

Each worksheet presents four sentence pairs for students to combine, with a writing box provided for each response.

What's included:

  • 5 different printables, each with 4 sentence-combining tasks, available with or without lines

  • Suggested answers for each printable
