This literacy center can be used to teach the suffix for ing and the suffix ing rules. It help students to consolidate their understanding of when to apply different suffix ing rules.
This resource can be used in a variety of ways:
- Print as worksheets
- Word sort- Class or Group Investigation-
- Use as a literacy rotation activity
Two levels are included:
- Level 1: 'Double the consonant' and 'just add ing'
- Level 2: 'Double the consonant', 'just add 'ing' and 'take away the e'.
Suffix rule prompt cards are also included, as well as black and white versions.
