Australian Curriculum:

  • identify and compare attributes of objects and events, including length, capacity, mass and duration, using direct comparisons and communicating reasoning (AC9MFM01)

NSW Curriculum (TWO-DIMENSIONAL SPATIAL STRUCTURE):

  • Outcomes:

    • sorts, describes, names and makes two-dimensional shapes, including triangles, circles, squares and rectangles MAE-2DS-01

  • Content:

    • Identify and compare area

      • Make closed shapes and identify the attribute of area as the measure of the amount of surface

      • Use comparative language to describe areas
