RHYME TASK CARDS for Long Vowels, Diphthongs & R-Controlled Vowels

This rhyme activity is perfect for Grade 1 phonics lessons and building phonological awareness. It can be used for literacy centers in a Kindergarten, Grade 1 or Grade 2 classroom to consolidate rhyming skills with long vowel sounds, diphthongs, and r-controlled vowel sounds 

It includes over 240 words with rhyming LONG VOWEL, DIPHTHONG and R-CONTROLLED VOWEL words. These are separated into 2 levels:

• Level 1: Long Vowels - Long vowel a, long vowel e, long vowel i, long vowel o, long vowel u
• Level 2: Diphthongs and R-Controlled Vowels - oi/oy, ow/ou, er/ir/ur/or, ar/a, eer/ere/ear, air/are,ear and aw/or/ough/our. 

Picture answer cards are included as an additional scaffold, as well lists of all rhyming words, and an answer sheet which can be used as a worksheet or in wipe mats as a literacy rotation.
