This is a fun hands on activity to introduce the concept of subtraction.
How to use:
Students select one of levelled subtraction cards. They place the total number of counters in the white box, then sweep the counters that they are taking away into the bin. They move the remainder to the yellow answer box to discover the answer to the subtraction problem.
Level 1: 1-6
Level 2:7-10
Level 3: 11-20
Subtraction cards are colour coded into three colours, but are also available in black and white too- just print onto coloured card.
Two "sweepers" are also included. You could attach to a popsicle stick for extra sturdiness.
