These low prep decodable word task cards are great phonics activities for consolidating blending skills with CVCC and CCVC words. Students must decode the words, phrases or sentences and then draw a corresponding picture.
3 levels are included for each decodable task card:
Level 1: Decode and draw the decodable word
Level 2: Decode and draw the decodable word with a describing word or short phrase
Level 3: Decode and draw the decodable word in a full decodable sentence
Task cards are available with and without stars to indicate each level. Black & white task cards are also included.
45 Decode & Draw cards are included - 9 cards for each short vowel sound (e.g. CVCC a words, CVCC e words)
Students can draw their decodable drawings on paper, in their workbooks or on mini whiteboards.
