Blending CVC Words with Cars - DIGITAL SLIDES - Drive & Decode

Are you looking for digital CVC word games to use in your Kindergarten and Grade 1 phonics lessons? These decodable word slides are a low-prep phonics activity which can be used to consolidate early phonics skills such as blending and segmenting of CVC words.

These engaging animated phonics slides for Kindergarten students will assist students with their blending and segmenting skills with single sounds.

Students blend each sound one by one as the car moves across the screen. Repeat again and move car quickly to build automaticity and fluency.

• The car is animated to move across each sound to support students as they sound a word out.
• The car then moves across each word again quickly to allow students to build fluency, speed and automaticity when decoding. 

So far includes over 140 CVC words, sorted into vowel sounds (e.g. short a CVC words, short e CVC words). The words are then included again as a mixed bundle.
