Make every student feel like a hero with these creative superhero classroom ideas!
The superhero classroom theme is such a classic! It's colourful and ties in perfectly with your kids' natural love of superheroes. Plus, you can have amazing discussions about what it means to be a superhero.
Are superheroes kind?
Are they determined?
How can your students be superheroes every day?
There are so many opportunities to expand on this theme, and your kids will love it!
Before we go any further: do you need to decorate your classroom? If you feel like you have to decorate your classroom to fit in with other teachers, please know it's not necessary! Especially if you're working with limited time or a tight budget, you don't need to go overboard trying to fit in. Plus, many teachers over-decorate, adding too much visually distracting materials to the walls. It's so important to strike a balance! Focus on the elements you'll use the most often and leave the rest behind. Learn more about the pros and cons of decorating your classroom here. I sum up all the lessons I've learnt over the years in regards to setting up a classroom (Spoiler Alert: I haven't always gotten it right!) and tackle the debate surrounding classroom decorating!
