Sentence Mats for Long Vowels & Split Digraphs

These sentence mats can be used alongside long vowel and split digraph picture cards to create simple decodable sentences. Students add a picture card, spell the word using alphabet manipulatives or magnets, then write the decodable sentence.

Over 30 simple sentence scaffolds are included, using decodable words and common high-frequency words.

Sentences are sorted into 3 categories:
